Besides, hiring a professional reduces your chances of making installation mistakes.Common Mistakes to Avoid When Replacing Entry Doors

Choosing a Material Not Suitable for Your Climate

When choosing doors, go for a material that works well with your climate. Consider what weather conditions your new door will be exposed to as well as how much sunlight it will get. All materials have their pros and cons, and should be kept in mind before buying.

Improper Installation

Even the best entry doors can fail when the contractor doesn’t install them correctly. To ensure your investment lasts long and functions well, hire a skilled contractor for your door replacement.

Failing to Do Your Research

You can avoid impulse buying and other poor decisions by researching before starting your project. The more you know, the better results you can expect. Start by creating a list of what you like and don’t like. Consider your location, set a budget, determine a timeline, and research contractors in your area. To get inspiration, you can go online and visit websites like Houzz® and Pinterest. It would also help to walk to drive around your neighborhood to see if any door style interests you.

Turn to Renewal by Andersen of Memphis for quality door replacement services. We also install windows made with the Fibrex® framing material, which has the strength of wood and is as easy to maintain as vinyl replacement windows. "Our windows were the original ones that were installed when they built the house in 1972. They wouldn't open, they had been painted shut. They were single pane and the glaze was cracked everywhere. I had to put plastic up every year to help keep the house warm at least a little bit. My MIL was surprised that there weren't any panes in the windows. Now she loves it. We have put a film on the windows so we can see out but no one can see in. We are loving it!"
