How Fibrex® Windows Help Solve the Issue of Warped Windows

Expect a wide range of issues when you see signs of warping on your windows. In this blog, trusted local windows installer Renewal by Andersen® of Memphis helps you understand why certain window materials like wood and vinyl are likely to warp and how to solve this problem.

Issue of Warped Windows

Reason Why Window Warping Occurs

Long-term exposure to extreme weather conditions can cause damage to wood and vinyl windows. Too much heat, in particular, increases the chances of warping on the frames and sashes. Moisture is also a known culprit and can compromise the natural beauty of wood windows. Warping makes windows look unsightly and affect their structural integrity, which is why it makes sense to replace them as soon as possible to avoid further issues.

In addition to elemental exposure, wood and vinyl window damage can be attributed to poor installation and low product quality. To get the most out of your investment, be sure to choose a contractor that is well-known for its top-notch products and high-quality home window replacement process. Doing a background check is also vital in determining which ones are reputable and which ones are unscrupulous.

"Our windows were the original ones that were installed when they built the house in 1972. They wouldn't open, they had been painted shut. They were single pane and the glaze was cracked everywhere. I had to put plastic up every year to help keep the house warm at least a little bit. My MIL was surprised that there weren't any panes in the windows. Now she loves it. We have put a film on the windows so we can see out but no one can see in. We are loving it!"
